Who am I?
I will tell you EVERYTHING
I grew up in Monterrey, Mexico: a very stubborn, chubby, intense, hilarious nerd. In an ultra-conservative society that equates “Actor” with whatever your definition of THE OPPOSITE OF A LADY is.
But 17 years ago, thanks to Elphaba (literally) I decided I would go for the big thing and try to become a professional actor.
Navigating this industry is the thrill of my lifetime, but the journey got a bit... grim. Dark moments made worse by hurtful habits. Worst of all was dealing with a traumatizing Immigration ordeal.
Immigration gave me a ridiculous ultimatum that sent me into the depths of anxiety. But in these anger-fueled depths, a button was pushed:
F**K THESE RULES.
So I sought therapy and I created a TV show about it… a show about a Mexican actress that has one year to get famous or she gets deported.
I said yes to a creative spark, I saw it through, and everything changed. Today, I have a shopping deal with a dream production company and I'm pitching it to networks!
Saying yes to my creativity has deepened my relationship with my intuition. It’s shown me how to become the woman I came here to be. And it’s even brought me closer to my dream collaborators in this industry in a pretty cool and empowering way.
PS. I did end up getting my artist visa. And now I have my Green Card! #FREEDOM
This process taught me to thrive in uncertainty, it showed me I could be in the driver’s seat of my career, and that I could build it in an aligned, joyful way. And this is what I want for you!
It is the honor of my life; helping people rekindle joy, uncover their creative superpower and practice outrageous courage.
